Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools Policy

Kashf Journal of Multidisciplinary Research (KJMR) recognizes the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in supporting modern academic research and scholarly communication. AI technologies may assist authors, reviewers, and editors; however, they cannot replace human expertise, intellectual contribution, critical thinking, ethical judgment, and accountability.


1. Use of AI Tools by Authors

Authors may use AI-assisted tools for language improvement, grammar correction, proofreading, formatting assistance, translation support, and improving manuscript readability.

AI tools must not replace original research ideas, scholarly contribution, research methodology, analysis, interpretation of findings, or academic judgment.

Authors are responsible for:

  • Ensuring originality and accuracy of submitted manuscripts.
  • Verifying all references, citations, data, and research findings.
  • Avoiding fabricated information, references, or unsupported claims.
  • Maintaining academic integrity and ethical publishing standards.

2. Disclosure of AI Assistance

Authors must disclose the use of AI-assisted technologies during manuscript preparation whenever AI contributes beyond basic spelling and grammar correction.

Example AI Disclosure Statement:

"During the preparation of this manuscript, the authors used [AI Tool Name] for [purpose of use]. The authors reviewed, verified, and edited all AI-assisted content and take full responsibility for the final manuscript."


3. AI as Author or Co-Author

AI tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors of articles submitted to KJMR. Authorship requires human intellectual contribution, responsibility, accountability, and approval of the final manuscript.


4. AI Use in Peer Review

Reviewers must maintain confidentiality of submitted manuscripts. Manuscripts, unpublished research data, figures, tables, and confidential information must not be uploaded into publicly available AI platforms.

  • Review decisions must be based on independent expert evaluation.
  • AI tools cannot replace reviewer judgment.
  • Reviewers remain responsible for fairness, accuracy, and confidentiality.

5. AI Use by Editors and Editorial Board Members

Editors and editorial board members may use AI tools for administrative support and improving editorial workflows. However, all editorial decisions must remain based on human expertise and ethical standards.

  • Maintaining confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.
  • Protecting authors' intellectual property rights.
  • Ensuring fair and transparent editorial decisions.
  • Verifying AI-assisted information before use.

6. Ethical and Responsible Use of AI

  • Protect confidential and unpublished information.
  • Avoid plagiarism and inappropriate AI-generated content.
  • Verify AI-generated information and references.
  • Prevent bias, misinformation, and inaccurate research claims.
  • Maintain transparency regarding AI involvement.
